About Griffin's Offsite

My name is Griffin. I am a writer and educator with experience managing political campaigns.

For a long time, I have been interested in how ideas, language, and stories help us make sense of ourselves and the world around us.

I have always used the writing process as a way to develop my thoughts, and I originally created this newsletter as an easy way to share my writing privately with friends. Over time, however, I felt there would be more value in opening that process up to a public readership.

As a result, Griffin’s Offsite reflects the ideas, questions, and books I am actively thinking through. It is my hope that thoughtful, curious readers will find value here.

• Book Reviews: What a book has to offer and whether it is worth your time.
• Notes: Raw, unfinished, or stalled notes pulled from my notebooks.
• Portraits: Stories about people who have something to teach us.
